Learn about our mission, values, and journey to create a better world for animals
Paws & Care was founded in 2008 by Dr. Priya Sharma, a veterinarian who witnessed firsthand the suffering of stray and abandoned animals in our communities. What started as a small rescue operation from her clinic has grown into one of the region's most trusted animal welfare organizations.
Over the years, we've expanded our services to include not just rescue and rehabilitation, but also adoption programs, community education, sterilization drives, and advocacy for animal rights. Our dedicated team of staff and volunteers work tirelessly to create a world where every animal is treated with compassion and respect.
Today, we operate a state-of-the-art shelter facility that can house up to 200 animals at a time, a fully equipped veterinary clinic, and multiple community outreach programs that serve thousands of animals and pet owners each year.

We envision a world where no animal suffers from neglect, abuse, or homelessness. A future where humans and animals coexist harmoniously, and every community prioritizes the welfare of all living beings through responsible pet ownership and compassionate action.
We believe in treating every animal with kindness, empathy, and respect, recognizing their inherent worth and right to a life free from suffering.
We are committed to being a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves, advocating for animal rights and welfare at all levels of society.
We work together with communities, government agencies, and other organizations to create sustainable solutions for animal welfare challenges.
We believe that knowledge is the foundation of change and are dedicated to educating the public about responsible pet ownership and animal welfare.
We strive for the highest standards in all our operations, from animal care to administrative processes, ensuring we make the most significant impact possible.
We recognize that lasting change happens at the community level and work to empower individuals and neighborhoods to become advocates for animals.

With growing community support, we open our first dedicated shelter facility with capacity for 50 animals and a small team of volunteers.
We expand our services to include community education programs and launch our first large-scale sterilization drive in partnership with local municipalities.
Thanks to generous donations, we move to our current state-of-the-art facility with capacity for 200 animals and a fully equipped veterinary clinic.
Paws & Care receives the National Animal Welfare Award for outstanding contribution to animal rescue and community education.
We continue to grow, now serving over 5,000 animals annually through our various programs and expanding our reach to neighboring communities.
